You will notice
that each scan
was "pieced"
from two scans,
due to page size.
This leaves the
project esthet-
ically wanting,
but the content
is fascinating.

Jersey Baptist Church

This series of scans is dedicated to Col. John Stiteler, whose name appears in the front of this book. His Grandmother, Eliza Burnworth, came from the Jersey settlement. She later married Norman Bruce Critchfield.  Col. Stiteler had the foresight to keep the book and to instill a keen sense of history in his children and grandchildren, who have also kept the book in pristine condition.

There is no page 97 or 98. It is not missing from the book, but goes directly from page 96 to 99.  The original pages measure 15.25” x 6” making not the scanning, but the reconstruction of it, a challenge. Each page was pieced together from two scans, but in all cases, they were matched to the best of my ability.

Enjoy your history.
